Bob & Sue's Models

We begin our first blog about businesses operating from Strongroom, starting with BOB & SUE'S MODELS. 

Originally located in Ramsgate, BOB & SUE'S MODELS began trading in 1991. In 2007 Bob and Sue decided to relocate their business to the New Forest, running a successful shop within the Waterside region of Southampton. 

They first approached Strongroom for storage in 2013, occupying a 75sq ft warehouse unit to carry some of their stock. Earlier this summer Bob and Sue decided to take a well-deserved retirement, ending the lease on their shop premises.  

Knowing they didn't want to let their loyal customers down, we came up with a solution enabling Bob and Sue to continue running their business from our Marchwood facility. This has enabled them to display various models and accessories, allowing customers to view the products in person, similar to a shop environment. Naturally, their business has scaled down, however, it has given them more flexibility without committing to a long-term lease. They opted for an affordable package, incorporating rental, insurance for fire & theft and utilities. Their storage space is provided with electricity and water enabling them to provide refreshments for their customers!

You can visit Bob & Sue's Models on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday between 11.00am-3pm, or by prior appointment.
